It’s a fact: 41 percent of colleges and universities recently surveyed had not conducted a single investigation of sexual violence on their campus in the past five years. Not a single one.
And research shows that 90 to 95 percent of rapes on college campuses are committed by fewer than 5 percent of the male students.
Too many universities and colleges refuse to acknowledge the problem – leaving survivors of sexual assault to face untrained administrators, convoluted disciplinary proceedings, and a culture that too often lays the blame on survivors.
This is a solvable problem and you can take action today to help end this epidemic on our college campuses.
The bipartisan Campus Accountability and Safety Act will ensure schools take proactive steps to protect their students and rid their campuses of sexual predators. Will you add your name and demand Congress take action to end campus sexual assault and pass the Campus Accountability and Safety Act?
