Tell Congress to Exempt Hawai'i and Alaska from Airline Fee Hikes!

Last year, as part of the budget compromise bill, leaders in Washington more than doubled the airline passenger security fee. For travelers in Hawai'i and Alaska, who are dependent on air travel just to go to work, get access to healthcare, or visit their family and friends, the hike will represent a huge increase in already expensive travel costs. In the past, Congress has exempted our states from other fees because it has recognized the unique role air travel plays in Hawai'i and Alaska.

That's why we've called on Congress to act again – and immediately – to exempt travelers in Hawai'i and Alaska from this fee hike, but they need to know we are serious. They won't do it without hearing our voices.
